We never want lack of finances to be the only reason a camper cannot come to Higher Ground at Lake Louise. We encourage prospective scholarship recipients to first seek financial assistance from their home church, since many churches have funds designated for sending children and youth to summer camp. If no funds, or not enough funds can be provided by the church, Higher Ground at Lake Louise has a general scholarship fund available. These funds are limited, so please apply only if financial assistance is truly needed.
Scholarship money will be awarded depending upon individual needs up to, but not exceeding 50% of the total cost of registration.
Note: Your camper must be registered before we can process a scholarship application. If no scholarship money is awarded to you and you are unable to attend camp as a result of this, your registration deposit is fully refundable
Higher Ground at Lake Louise is partnering with Psalm68five Ministries once again to offer the Psalm68Five Scholarship for children and youth growing up without a father present in their lives. We are thankful to offer this scholarship so kids can spend time at camp and hear about their Heavenly Father and His love and special blessings for them.
Who Qualifies? Any child growing up whose father has passed away, is incarcerated, has abandoned the family or very rarely contacts his children is eligible to apply. Children in foster care are also eligible to receive this scholarship.
Single moms who have children who qualify for the Psalm68Five Scholarship are invited to attend one of the family camps offered through Camp Lake Louise with their children through the Psalm68Five Scholarship.
While our heart goes out to children of divorced parents, this scholarship is not designated for them unless they have extremely limited contact with their father. In order to protect the intent and integrity of this scholarship, we ask that you do not apply for this scholarship if you or your children are not truly eligible. If you have financial concerns and do not qualify for the Psalm68Five Scholarship, please apply for the general scholarship. We never want financial concerns to be the reason someone is unable to attend camp.
What is the cost? This year, we are asking families who are able to contribute $50 towards the cost of camp, with the Psalm68Five Scholarship covering the remaining costs. If this amount will cause financial hardship for your family, please call the camp registrar to talk about a reduced price and the option of having any monies paid refunded at the time of check in.
How do I apply? In order to apply, you must first register yourself or your child for camp. Once that is complete, fill out the scholarship application either online or print and mail it to P.O. Box 1581, Holland, MI 49422. Please provide as much information as you are able when filling out the application. You will receive a notification once your application has been received. If there are any questions regarding your application, the camp registrar will contact you.
If you have any questions regarding finances or eligibility for this scholarship, please do not hesitate ask. Please contact our registrar by calling (616)772-3040, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
