This is a weekend retreat for adults who have experienced life without a father physically present.

Come and experience a time with others who have walked this same road and desire to spend time with our heavenly Father.

Bryan and Rebecca Johnson

BRYAN BIO: Bryan C. Johnson became fatherless at the age of 4 when his father became Missing in Action in Vietnam.  It was not until 13 years later that Bryan and his family learned the fate of his earthly father, that he had died in Vietnam all those years earlier.  As such, the childhood years were eaten up without having an earthly father and not even being able to mourn the loss.  However, God was faithful and Bryan and his siblings came to know that his Heavenly Father had a special compassion for those who grow up fatherless.  Bryan uses that comfort and his identity as a true son of the True Father to share the experience, strength and hope he has been granted, through Jesus Christ into this new identity.  Bryan is burdened to share the messages of changing from an orphan spirit identity to a child of God identity, the unconditional love God the Father has for his children, through Jesus Christ, and the emotional healing from anger, insecurity, and shame which is so prevalent in adults who grew up fatherless.  Bryan lives with his wife, Rebecca, in McKinney, Texas, and has two adult married daughters, Rachel and Kathleen.

BRUCE BIO: As a young man in the summer of 1982, I had the good fortune of being hired in the investment business in downtown Grand Rapids. As I look back, I do so with a grateful heart, and hopefully, a wiser perspective. I have had the opportunity to develop relationships with clients that have now spanned both decades and generations. I love my job. I love the investment business. It is an honor and a privilege to serve some of the most successful, most influential people in West Michigan and abroad on a day-to-day basis. I am truly fortunate and hope I can contribute to others in a significant way through the relationships we have developed and the solutions we provide. I have been fortunate to be part of the Camp Lake Louise family since I was a little boy going with a group from First Baptist in Harbor Beach. Over the years I have met many friends including the love of my life, Margie who was from West Baptist in Bay City. Together we have served in various capacities over the years from cabin leaders, camp program directors, as well as service on the board. Margie and I have been blessed with five great kids, as well as two sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law. Brendon, our oldest, joined the CapTrust team in 2013 and lives in Holland with his wife, Rachel, and our two grandchildren – Brendon, Jr. and  Keara Ann. Our daughter Lauren lives in Chicago with her husband, Aaron, and our daughter Lindsay lives in Milwaukee with her husband, Chris. Our son Ryan lives and works in Minneapolis, while Hannah is finishing up her senior year at the University of Kansas (much to my delight).
