As we anticipate our upcoming camping season, we are closely monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic.
At this time, we are excited to start the 2020 camp season on July 4th.
As always, the safety of our campers is of utmost importance to us at Higher Ground At Lake Louise.
We will continue to monitor the situation and post updates of any plan changes over the coming weeks.
We hope this note finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy, and please know that we are praying for you daily. Like you, Higher Ground at Lake Louise continues to plan for an exciting summer!
As summer approaches, we have been following government and local health authority guidelines in addition to partnering with the Christian Camp and Conference Association. As a result, we are modifying our summer schedule a bit to allow every camper the opportunity to still join.
This will create a larger, more vibrant, camp for all our campers! You can check out the new schedule here! We can’t wait to hear the laughter of children, the encouragement of our Father’s love for each child, and the many memories that will last a lifetime. We are excited about what God has planned this summer, and how He plans to share His heart with His children – our campers! Register today so that your camper does not miss out!
To ensure the utmost safety and confidence, we will continue to monitor the guidelines of the government and CCCA. We thank you for partnering with us and we continue to pray for you and your loved ones. Blessings!
Blessings to every camper past and present, to every parent, volunteer, donor, and prayer partner. Our hearts are with you as we all ‘stay home and stay safe.’ Like you, we are guided by government directives and common sense. We wait, wonder, pray, and prepare for a great summer season!
The camp has just emerged from another winter as a sanctuary from the virus. Camp remains a month or so away from having utilities turned on. So camp waits with you.
Last summer, I often shared that we reflect Christ by coming alongside our campers to encourage. The phrase ‘to come alongside’ is from the Greek word “paraklhotj” – pronounced par-ak’-lay-tos which also means “comforter.” In John 16:7, Jesus tells His disciples He will send a comforter. And He did.
As we wait to come alongside campers with food and fun, adventure and learning, friendships and fellowship, we know that the Holy Spirit, our comforter, has been sent to come alongside each of us. We pray that as social distancing continues, families would be drawn near and strengthened, and that your family would find comfort in Father God – as sons and daughters of the Most High.
We are resolved to emerge from this waiting season ready to go with a tremendous summer season. That is our hope and fervent prayer. However, we wait right alongside you. As the weeks and months move us closer to our first camp, we will keep you updated on the status of our Summer Camping Season. Please check back for continual updates on our website.
We love you, we pray for you, and we are hopeful we get to see you very soon at Higher Ground at Lake Louise!
We’ll continue to connect you to our camp through Facebook and Instagram with photos and quotes, and videos from our volunteers so check in often. Maybe you have a quote or photo from a past camp you’d like to share. Please feel free to reach out to us, maybe your kids have created some game to pass the time we could share with families like yours. Just give us a call, we’d love to hear from you!
Stay safe and be blessed!
